Joy Jackson Griffith, a native of Indianapolis, has created fine art glass for over 20 years.  In 2002, Joy moved to Seattle to begin a professional career in fine art glass after receiving her Masters in Fine Art from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia.  It was then that she began teaching, designing and creating production art glass.

 

In Joy’s most recent body of work she has begun painting with encaustic paint (bee’s wax).  Inspired by Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty, she creates abstract landscapes on glass and wood.  Also on display are examples of Joy’s most recent line of blown glass jewelry. Each Blue Glass Necklace is unique and incorporates an earthy radiance that is eye catching.  Her work is represented nationally in galleries across the country.
